ARMENIAN PRESIDENT AND PETER SEMNEBY DISCUSS POST-ELECTORAL SITUATION IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, MARCH 3, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Robert Kocharian
received today EU Special Representative to the South Caucasus Peter
Semneby.

Presidential press service told Armenpress that during the meeting
the interlocutors discussed the post-electoral processes taking place
in Armenia, particularly the opposition-caused unrest and the ways
of its regulation.

Robert Kocharian said that the authorities wish quick regulation of
the situation.

According to the president, what happened does not have any connection
with the politics, it is just a criminal crime which must be thoroughly
investigated and all the guilty must bear responsibility in front
of law.

Underscoring the objective and multisided investigation, Peter Semneby
expressed hope that everything possible will be done to smooth the
tension.
