LEVON ARONIAN TAKES 3rd PLACE WITH 5.5 POINTS IN LINARES INTERNATIONAL SUPERTOURNAMENT

LINARES, MARCH 3, NOYAN TAPAN. International Chess Supertournament
continues in the city of Linares, Spain. In the 9th and 10th tours
Levon Aronian drew the games with Viswanathan Anand (India) and Teymur
Rajabov (Azerbaijan).

After 10 tours Aronian takes the 3rd place on the tournament table
with 5.5 points. The leader is V. Anand with 6.5 points. He is followed
by Magnus Karlsen (Norway) with 6 points.

March 2 was announced a rest day in the tournament. The games of the
11th tour are fixed for March 3. L. Aronian will compete with Vasily
Ivanchuk (the Ukraine).
