ARMENIAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES JOHN PRESCOTT

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Robert Kocharian
received today John Prescott who was the head of the PACE temporary
commission monitoring the presidential elections in Armenia. He
arrived in Armenia on post-electoral fact-finding mission.

Armenian presidential press service said that during the meeting the
interlocutors referred to the Armenia’s post-electoral processes and
particularly to the March 1 unrest which caused tension in the country.

Noting that the undertaken means were completely relevant to the
created situation, Robert Kocharian said the authorities are doing
everything possible to regulate the situation in the capital as soon
as possible.
