ArmInfo. "An attempt was really made to organize "a colored revolution"
in Armenia",- Armenian Prime Minister, Leader of the Republican Party
of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said in his nterview with "Rossiyskaya
Gazeta".
As rg.ru reports, Sargsyan said that this attempt was doomed to failure
from the very beginning. "Unlike the countries where "colored
revolutions succeeded", there are factors in Armenia that the riot’s
organizers failed to take into account", he said. According to him, the
power in Armenia enjoys the society’s confidence, and the results of
the presidential election prove this. "Unlike some radical
oppositionists, the major part of the Armenian society wishes the
country to develop by means of evolution, as it has been over the past
7 years", he said. In this situation, those forces, during whose ruling
term Armenia experienced the darkest and coldest period in the 90s,
made a revenge attempt, he said.
