In the evening of March 8 the Constitutional Court of Armenia declined
the claims of the Armenian presidential candidate Tigran Karapetyan and
Levon Ter-Petrosyan who dispute the outcome of the presidential vote
and demand that it should be voided, Regnum reports. The Constitutional
Court decided not to change the decision of the CEC on the outcome of
the presidential election and to extend the materials on breaches
during the election to the Office of Prosecutor General.
On March 7 the representatives of the sides made final speeches. The
plaintiff claimed that there were mass breaches during the election,
which affected the result of vote. The answerer noted that the
documents provided by the plaintiff have nothing to do with the
election and there is no cause and effect relation between the reported
breaches and results of the vote, Regnum reports.
