Today 15 translators of "RA justice ministry translators’ center"
state non trade center were given training and quality certificates.
According to the justice deputy minister Nikolay Arustamyan, in the
range of various activities, training courses were organized and
held with "AEPLAK" Armenian representative. The deputy minister said
that in the result of the cooperation and relations created among
15 European communities and Armenia in 1999 it became a necessity to
overcome the language barrier.
He said that an institution should be founded which could translate
the legal supervision from Armenia into other languages and the
opposite. Hence qualified specialists were needed, and the ministry
together with AEPLAC started the course of trainings where European
and national professors were invited.
According to Tigran Djrbashyan, the Armenian director of AEPLAC,
the establishment of the current center is a good example. He said
that 15 were selected from 150 participants. Djrbashyan said that the
center will work in line with European modern standards. "Armenia is
the eighth country which will work with those standards. It really
inspires," he said.
T. Djrbashyan said that the center will work by the best and worldwide
known programs. He said that he is sure we are not going to concede
Western Europe and Balkan countries’ translation centers.
