PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN HAD A WORKING MEETING WITH THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE

President Robert Kocharyan had a working meeting with RA Minister of
Agriculture David Lockyan, President’s Press office reported.

The President showed interest in the process of implementation of
a number of agricultural programs adopted by the Government in the
course of the past four months, as well as the rise of food prices
as a result of global changes in the world.

Reference was made to the new programs adopted by the Government,
particularly the cultivation of corn in Tavoush and Lori marzes. The
interlocutors discussed the process of subsidizing, which includes
about 100,000 rural residents.

The President showed interest in the issues of poultry farming and
stock-raising.
