TRADE GROWS BY 4.8%, SERVICES BY 7.4% IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY 2008 ON SAME MONTH OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, MARCH 11, NOYAN TAPAN. The trade turnover made 82 bln 321.8
mln drams (about 268.3 mln USD) in current prices in Armenia in
January 2008, growing by 4.8% in comparable prices as compared with
January 2007.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, retail trade amounted
to 57 bln 835.7 mln drams in current prices in January 2008, growing
by 10.7% in comparable prices on January 2007.

The services made 37 bln 95 mln drams in current prices in January
2008, increasing by 7.4% in comparable prices on the same month
of 2007.
