AZERI SOLDIER CROSSES THE BORDER

The Press Service of RA Ministry of Defense informs that on March 9,
at 7 p.m. a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, serviceman Yahub
Alaverdi-Oghly Mukhtarov intentionally crossed the Armenian-Azeri
border near Kolagir village in Tavoush marz, RA MOD Press Secretary,
Colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan informed.

Mukhtarov was born on April 19, 1988. He resides at 166, Khoyski
Street, Sheki city. The education is secondary.

According to Mukhtarov’s testimony, on March 9 he applied to his
platoon commander with the request to move to the medical centre
because of illness.

Receiving a refusal, he tried to apply to the brigade commander, but
was brutally beaten. Leaving the weapons, Mukhtarov fled, crossing
the Armenian-Azeri border.

Many signs of cruel beating and old scars are visible on Mukhtarov’s
body.
