ARMRUSGAZPROM TO INVEST 45.2 BILLION DRAMS IN NEXT TWO YEARS

YEREVAN, MARCH 17, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA Public Services Regulatory
Commission recently approved the 2008-2010 investment program of
ArmRusgazprom, by which this company plans to invest 45.2 bln drams
(about 145 mln USD) in the gas transportation and distribution
system. NT correspondent was informed by the company’s press service
that 25.22 bln drams will be invested in gas transportation, 19.97
bln drams – in gas distribution.
The company envisages solving mainly two problems: to complete the
construction of Kajaran-Ararat gas pipeline and to install automated
safety signal devices in the in-house gas consumption system of
apartment buildings, which will allow to create an integrated safety
system.
This year ArmRusgazprom intends to do work of 31.2 bln drams, 21.7
bln drams of which will be invested in the gas transportation system,
including 19.4 bln drams for extension of the Abovian underground
gas storage. Besides, a new gas distribution station will be built
in Yerevan.
