ArmInfo. ‘I am against adoption even of the best laws without their
wide discussion in the society. Nevertheless amendments to the law "On
holding rallies, processions and mass events", which the deputies had
seen just at the beginning of extraordinary sitting of the parliament,
were adopted’, – a deputy from the opposition Heritage party Larisa
Alaverdyan said over the debates in Hayeli club, Monday.
She also added that reference of the authors of the law on experience
of some European states, in particular, Finland and Latvia, are
untimely, as in our country there is big difference between the laws
and practice of their application.
She said that all the necessary preventative measures that make it
possible to avoid worsening of the situation were foreseen before
adoption of the last amendments to the law. ‘If according to the
official information, the 1 March events were planned by Levon
Ter-Petrosyan, we have to clarify why the authorities were so eager
to help the first president to fulfill his plan’, Alaverdyan said.
