ARMENIAN AMBASADOR TO EGYPT CALLS ON TO ENSURE MOST ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF DIASPORA IN ECONOMIC PROCESSES OF NAGORNO KARABAKH

CAIRO, MARCH 24, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. An event dedicated
to the 20th anniversary of the Karabakh movement took place in Cairo
on March 19.
The Armenian ambassador to Egypt Ruben Karapetian made a speech of
welcome, underlining the necessity for realizing the interrelaton of
existence and development of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno
Karabakh Republic.
R. Kapapetian said that it is necessary to reject any defeatist mood
or practice on the path of achieving the recognition of the NKR’s
independence and to struggle against attempts to artificially sow
intolerance and dividing lines.
The Armenian ambassador called on to ensure the most active involvement
of the Diaspora in the economic processes of the NKR.
Then the main speaker – the director of the institute of history of
the RA National Academy of Sciences A. Melkonian gave a speech.
According to the RA MFA Press and Information Department, cultural
performances were also given during the event.
