[Presenter] Two presidents-elect, Dmitriy Medvedev and Serzh Sargsyan,
are discussing the prospects of cooperation between Russia and Armenia
in Moscow today. This is the first foreign visit of the Armenian
prime minister who has won the recent presidential election.
He is still keeping his previous post, his inauguration as the head of
state is scheduled for 9 April. The talks began with congratulations.
[Dmitriy Medvedev, Russian president-elect] We are pleased to greet
you in the Kremlin. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on
the victory in the Armenian presidential election. This is your first
visit following the [election] campaign and of course, we can see a
special symbol, the symbol of the meaning of Russian-Armenian ties.
We hope that under your leadership we will be able to continue the
relations that have been shaped in the recent years, the high level
of collaboration that connects the Russian Federation and Armenia. We
will be able to work to the full for the benefit of our people by
developing the friendly ties that link our people and our countries.
