ACCUSED OF INCITING MASS DISORDERS

As reported by the Web site of the General Prosecutor’s Office, on
March 25, 2008 Aram Zaven Sargsyan, Head of the political council of
"Republic" party, was charged by Section 3 Article 225 and Articles
2251 and 300 of the RA Criminal Code for breaching the constitutional
order and inciting and organizing massive disorders in the town of
Yerevan with the purpose of usurping power. The charges were brought
in the frameworks of the case examined by the RA Special Investigative
Service.

As a precautionary measure, he has given a signature on not leaving
the country.
