The authoritative conference devoted to the development of the region
ended in Kashatagh, in which the representatives of the Armenian
governments, organizations and individuals participated. The message
of the conference is that the Armenian side should stop considering
return of the territories and should settle those areas.

It is necessary to put an end to the issue of return of territories
once and for all. This stance leaves a negative trace on the moral and
spiritual state of the Armenian people, announced the representatives
of the U.K.-based Ararat Heritage organization, who read the letter
of their organization during the conference in Kashatagh. It was also
noted that such considerations should address the issue of return of
North Artsakh, Nakhidjevan and the other Armenian territories.

Member of Parliament Vahan Hovanisyan, member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun
Bureau, said: "Some careless pronouncements by some of our officials
regarding the concession of territories have had a negative impact on
the solution of our problem. Yes, it made people hopeless, did not
inspire confidence in people who live there, and I think that this
mistake should be corrected," the ARF Dashnaktsutyun representative
added.

Member of Parliament Larissa Alaverdyan, Heritage Party, thinks we
must show how after unification this territory becomes the habitat
of the new country which we have. She also underlined that we must
be aware that these territories united with us forever. "No more
incomplete, scary resolutions on the issue of Artsakh. The people of
Armenia and Artsakh and the Armenians worldwide should realize that
there has already been a compromise, and a major part of our land is
now controlled by Azerbaijan. We did the least thing we could do at
the expense of so many victims," Larissa Alaverdyan said.

Member of Parliament Vardan Bostanjyan, Bargavach Hayastan Party,
believes that the settlement of Kashatagh is very important for
Armenia and Artsakh.

According to him, the settlement of the region will bring about
a favorable resolution of the Karabakh issue. In answer to the
settlement of the other regions, he said: "The other regions also
presuppose and require such an objective. However, considering our
limited possibilities, we cannot undertake the solution of all the
problems at once. In this sense, at least the region of Kashatagh is
primary among all problems."
