ArmInfo. The supporters of the ex-president of Armenia Levon
Ter-Petrosyan attempted to carry out a color revolution in the country
in the situation when the legitimacy of the newly elected president
Serzh Sargsyan aroused no doubts, Republican Party of Armenia Press
Secretary, parliamentarian Eduard Sharmazanov said at Friday Club.
‘All the international structures and organizations recognized the
result of the presidential election and made relevant assessments’,
Sharmazanov said.
He believes that victory in the election was not the key goal of Levon
Ter-Petrosyan. He just wanted to carry out a color revolution in the
country, Sharmazanov said.
He drew a parallel between Joseph Goebbels and Levon
Ter-Petrosyan. ‘Both Goebbels and Ter-Petrosyan called betrayers the
people who did not support their stances’, Sharmazanov said. Security
and stability in Armenia were shaken in the post-election
period. ‘There were similar situations both in France and the USA. As
a result, the leadership in those states had to make restrictions to
get out of the situation’, Eduard Sharmazanov said. He also added that
the authorities are concerned over the domestic political situation
in the country after the presidential election and take every possible
measure to stabilize it.
