In a news conference on 30 March, Sabiroglu said: "The ongoing
processes and the situation have reached such proportions that it
seems the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict is deadlocked.

Armenia’s efforts to blackmail Azerbaijan by taking various steps
and statements are naive."

The newspaper quoted the spokesman as saying that "our army is ready
for war".

Sabiroglu accused the OSCE Minsk Group of failing to resolve
the conflict over the past 15 years and not supporting a recent
Azerbaijani-sponsored UN resolution on the conflict.

"They cast a very serious shadow on the peaceful settlement of the
conflict. Thus, the situation has become very complicated. Let’s see
what happens," he said.

Sabiroglu noted that Armenians observe the cease-fire only when
the cease-fire line is monitored by the OSCE. They break the truce
immediately after the monitoring ends, he said.

"This has already become traditional for Armenians," Sabiroglu added.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
