Service Prices Increase 1.1% In Armenia In March 2008

SERVICE PRICES INCREASE 1.1% IN ARMENIA IN MARCH 2008

YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. Prices for services increased by 1.1%
in Armenia in March 2008, the RA National Statistical Service (NSS)
reports.

The boost in the prices for crops (1.1%), catering (1.1%), medical
services (2.6%), legal and banking services (13.5%) caused inflation
in the reporting period.

Prices for tariffs and consumer services (including the areas of
education, recreation and transport) increased by 0.1%-0.6%, while
costs for public services remained unchanged.

0.1%-4.2% increase of service prices was recorded in all the 11
surveyed cities (the highest inflation rate being in Talin). 1.5% rise
in prices for services was recorded in Yerevan in March.
