ROBERT KOCHARIAN AWARDED NKR ORDER

YEREVAN, 01.04.08. DE FACTO. A meeting of the Armenian President
Robert Kocharian and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic /NKR/ MPs and
the government’s members was held at the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic
government.
According to the information DE FACTO received at the NKR government’s
Press Office, President Bako Sahakian expressed his gratitude to
Robert Kocharian for their long-term joint work and awarded him the
NKR highest order – the Order of St. Grigor Lusavorich.
The NKR National Assembly Speaker Ashot Gulian said that during the
years of Robert Kocharian’s presidency the cooperation of the two
Armenian states had considerably deepened. Gulian voiced confidence
that irrespective of form of Robert Kocharian’s future activity he
would go on contributing to the Karabakh conflict settlement process
and strengthening Armenian statehood.
Robert Kocharian mentioned principles and directions on basis of which
one should strengthen Artsakh’s economy and deepen ties between the
RA and NKR.
Speaking of the recent events that took place in Armenia’s internal
political life Robert Kocharian voiced assurance that this trial
would make people wiser and stronger. He mentioned the importance
of legislative alternations, which would enable to strengthen state
bases still more. Touching upon the Karabakh issue the RA President
stated the negotiation process was more favorable than ten years ago
when he had taken over the RA President’s duties.
