Republican Arthur Nalbandian has been re-elected to the post of
Alaverdy Mayor. Nalbandian won over his Dashnak contender Albert
Sargsian with 83% votes. Over 7752 people (48 %) out of 16 233 eligible
voters participated in the election. Arthur Nalbandian got 6393 votes
while Albert Sargsian – 1216. 142 ballot-papers were found invalid.
Note, the election was conducted without major incidents and clashes.
