YEREVAN, 10.04.08. DE FACTO. Azerbaijani leadership’s period
statements on intention to settle the Karabakh issue by force of
arms hamper peaceful process of the Karabakh conflict’s settlement,
the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic President Bako Sahakian stated in an
interview with Polish "Rech Pospolita" newspaper (21.03.08.).

Speaking of the possibility of beginning of a war in the
Nagorno-Karabakh, the NKR President noted such danger had always
existed. Nevertheless, the state’s head added, the Nagorno-Karabakh
had been ready for self-defense.
