YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime-Minister Tigran Sargsian
considers improving customs and tax administration as the main task
of the new Armenian government since these fields hide all economic
secrets of the republic.

"Competitive field, equal conditions, corruption, "shadow" economy –
the key to solving these problems is the customs and tax administration
and these are indeed the fields that will require us to make the
greatest efforts," he told journalists in Yerevan.

Sargsian pointed out impossibility to make qualitative changes in
a moment.

"Yet, I believe what can be done in a moment is to realize that these
changes will be the most serious ones and we are making far-reaching
plans in this field," he said.

On April 9 Armenian President Serge Sargsian signed a decree
on appointing the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA)
Tigran Sargsian to the premier post. Armenian Parliament accepted
the resignation of Tigran Sargsian from the post of the CBA Chairman
Thursday.
