G. KHACHATRYAN: "WE TRY TO IMPROVE CUSTOMS DUTY"

Today the executive body of Armenia affirmed to carry out changes
in the law on "Customs Service", said deputy chairman of the State
Customs Committee of Armenia Gagik Khachatryan.

"Today in the government session the decision to make changes in the
customs service methods was accepted," he said and added that the
changes concern the TWM new automatic system which is included into
the Armenian customs service from 1 January. "We are intended to crate
a system where the importer and customs officer are less connected,"
said G. Khachatryan.

He said that the agreement was conducted in the result of the
cooperation with the World bank and one department of the customs
service was experimentally treated.
