The Court of General Jurisdiction of Gegharkunik Marz publicized
the verdicts of Simon Amirkhanian, Samvel Karapetian and BHK member
Hripsime Haitsian.

Simon Amirkhanian and Samvel Karapetian were sentenced to three years’
and Hripsime Haitsian – to four years’ imprisonment. They are all
charged with election tampering in favour of presidential candidate
Levon Ter-Petrosian. All the three will serve one-year probation
period. They have no right to change their residence within a year.

To note, Simon Amirkganian and Samvel Karapetian were
Levon Ter-Petrossian’s proxies at Precinct 22/18 and 22/21
respectively. Hripsime Haitsian was the Chairman of the Electoral
Commission at Precinct 22/21.

Atorrney Seda Safarian wasn’t taken aback by the verdict. She thinks
all courts lack to administer justice in Armenia.

"We expect all trials to have the same outcome as judges act according
to some distinct instructions.

They simply resemble an "etui" in the courtroom," Seda Safarian
told A1+.

Mrs. Safarian says the verdict was groundless and it didn’t stem from
the material of the criminal case.

The scenario was well-planned," said the attorney.

Samvel Karapetian said that "the same verdict would have been brought
in case Armenian hero Gevorg Chaush stood trial. Nothing has changed
in Armenia. History repeats."
