MEMBER OF ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION TO PACE CALLS THE POINTS OF PACE DRAFT RESOLUTION VERY IMPORTANT

ArmInfo. ‘PACE draft resolution on Armenia contains very important
points’, – a member of the Armenian parliamentary delegation to PACE
Avet Adonts said.
He also added the draft law says about importance first of a dialogue
between the parliamentary and inter-parliamentary forces, secondly
– ensuring freedom to the people which did not commit crime. The
resolution also says of the necessity of possible revising of the
opposition place and role in the political system of Armenia. ‘The
draft law, which is being discussed, says that in June PACE will touch
on this problem and say about progress on the problem after adoption
of the resolution. In fact, we have the first draft law and it has
been already adopted by PACE’, – Avet Adonts said.
He also said that on 16 April till 10:00 AM local time PACE members may
submit their suggestions and alterations to the draft resolution. This
will give an opportunity to discuss the draft resolution at the
sitting of the Monitoring Commission of the Council of Europe with
the alterations made.
The sitting will be held on 17 April. Then the draft resolution will
be submitted to PACE for discussion and voting.
