SPECIAL SITTING TO BE CONVENED IN PARLIAMENT OF CYPRUS ON OCCASION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE ANNIVERSARY

NICOSIA, APRIL 16, ARMENIANS TODAY – NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian
community of Cyprus is going to organize a commemoration ceremony
on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. A
number of events are planned to be organized in the capital with
the sponsorship of Marios Garoyan, the Chairman of the House of
Representatives. According to the Gibrahayer electronic magazine,
on April 24, the Armenian community will walk along Hayastan street
towards the Genocide memorial, and Armenian young people will place
a large screen in Elefteria square and will give out notification
leaflets to bypassers.

Vardges Mahtesian, an Armenian representative of the parliament, will
address to the House during the sitting dedicated to the commemoration
of the Armenian Genocide. All members of the community can take part
in this sitting of the Cyprian parliament dedicated to the Armenian
Genocide.
