OVER 121 THOUSAND TONS OF DIESEL FUEL AND 167 THOUSAND TONS OF GASOLINE IMPORTED INTO ARMENIA IN 2007

YEREVAN, APRIL 17, NOYAN TAPAN. 121 thousand 164.2 tons of diesel fuel
and 167 thousand 486.8 tons of gasoline was imported into Armenia in
2007. NT correspondent was informed by the press service of the RA
State Tax Service that 103 thousand 220.6 tons of diesel fuel and 165
thousand 989.8 tons of gasoline was sold in the indicated period. Some
organizations imported gasoline and diesel fuel for their own use,
and this amount was not included in sales.

4,078.3 mln drams (about 13.1 mln USD) and 18,697.9 mln drams was paid
for imported diesel fuel and gasoline respectively on the border. Fixed
payments of a total of 674.7 mln drams were collected from sales of
diesel fuel and gasoline last year.

No separate accounting of aviation kerosine sales was done as it is
not envisaged by the 2002 decision of the RA government on approval
of the order of submitting the reports on the amount of production
and circulation and the prices of some goods to tax bodies.
