AZERI SPOKESMAN URGES NEW ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT NOT TO REPEAT MISTAKES

[Presenter Afat Telmanqizi] Azerbaijan urges the new authorities of
Armenia not to repeat the mistakes of the previous governments and to
take a positive position on the Nagornyy Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani
Foreign Ministry spokesman Xazar Ibrahim said at the traditional press
conference held on Monday [21 April]. He added that the Armenian
authorities have to withdraw their armed forces from Azerbaijani
territories without any conditions. Armenia should understand that
there is no place for the fourth country in the South Caucasus.

Xazar Ibrahim also urged the Armenian authorities not to mislead the
domestic public and to provide accurate information.

[Xazar Ibrahim, speaking at a news conference, captioned] The new
government of Armenia, including the Armenian foreign minister,
has failed to do away with stereotypes and keeps repeating the old
mistakes. They should realize that there are three countries in the
South Caucasus and there is no place for the fourth one.

I would like to reiterate that Nagornyy Karabakh’s status is only
possible within the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. On
the other hand, the Armenian government, including the foreign
minister, should provide accurate information on this issue rather
than continue misleading the domestic public. Because such wrong and
inaccurate reports from them are mostly misleading the Armenian public.

Furthermore, the Armenian foreign minister has made several
other statements concerning Azerbaijan, including one on the
increasing military spending in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan does not
welcome interference in its domestic affairs by any other country,
especially by Armenia. It would have been better for Armenia to mind
its own business and to withdraw its occupying forces from Azerbaijan
because otherwise there will be even fewer diplomatic opportunities.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
