YEREVAN, APRIL 22, NOYAN TAPAN. The prime minister Tigran Sargsian
on April 21 presented the re-appointed minister Harutyun Qushkian to
the staff of the RA ministry of health. He described H. Qushkian as
an expert in his field who enjoys confidence of the specialists,
and everybody appreciates his professional and organizational
abilities. All this, according to T. Sargsian, will allow the minister
to solve problems of the health sphere.
The prime minister said that one of the ambitious priorities of the
health care sector is to make Armenia a regional health center.
In his opinion, in order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to
introduce the best standards in the sector without copying exprerience
of developed countries. "We should introduce the standards the
developed countries are striving to achieve," T. Sargsian stated. One
of the preconditions to become a health center is to create an
opportunity for specialists to undergo training at the best medical
institutions of the world.
