Remember? The Armenian Genocide as Prototype’ Presented by the Clark
University’s Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide
Studies. Hovannisian is professor emeritus of Armenian and Near

the Armenian Martyrs’ Memorial Committee. Guest speaker: Prof. Henry
Theriault, associate professor at Worcester State College, whose
research focuses on genocide and human rights. Federal, state and
local politicians will also be present. Clergy from the three Armenian
churches will hold requiem services for our martyrs. Begins at 12:30

will give a lecture about his most recent work `Tigranes II and Rome,’
translated to English from the original Armenian text (Yerevan, 1940)
by historian Hakob H. Manandyan (1873-1952). The book is regarded as
the first serious attempt to examine the 1st century B.C. Armenian
monarch, Tigran the Great, without appealing to patriotic sentiments
