/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The regulations of the Collective Security Treaty
Organization read that the CSTO member states are committed to lend a
hand to their partner subjected to aggression, CSTO Assistant Secretary
General told a news conference in Yerevan.

Valery Semerikov reminded that in October 2007, the CSTO heads of
state signed a protocol on military and technical mutual assistance.

"If necessary, we will act accordingly," he said.

The CSTO brings together Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan,
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan, which quitted GUAM two years
ago, filed in application for joining the CSTO again.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
