Armenia and Hungary willing to expand military cooperation

On April 26 RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan received the
delegation headed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of
Hungary, Mrs. Agnes Vada. At the beginning of the meeting Mrs. Vada
congratulated Seyran Ohanyan on assuming office.
Turning to the current state of military cooperation, the parties
underscored the necessity to expand it.
Issues related to peacekeeping activity, enhancing military and
military-educational cooperation were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on the reforms underway in the Armed Forces
of Armenia, implementation of special civil service, the participation
of Hungary in the Cooperative Longbow/Lancer 08 military exercises to
be held in Armenia in the framework of the NATO’s Partnership for Peace
Program.
Today the delegation headed by State Secretary Agnes Vada visited the
peacekeeping brigade and the Military Institute after Vazgen Sargsyan
of RA Ministry of Defense.
On April 27 the delegation led by the State Secretary of the Ministry
of Defense of Hungary, Mrs. Agnes Vada will leave for Hungary.
