ARMENIA’S HOLDING ELECTIONS ON AZERBAIJANI OCCUPIED LANDS LIKELY TO BE DISCUSSED BY CE COMMITTEE OF MINISTERS

If the document of the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation on
elections in Armenia is submitted to the Council of Europe Committee
of ministers, the issue can be discussed and decision adopted on it
at one of the next sessions.

The due announcement was made by Yan Kubish, chairman of the Council
of Europe Committee of Ministers commenting on the issue, raised by
the Azerbaijani delegation before the Council of Europe, regarding
arrangement of voting for president of Armenia in the occupied lands
of Azerbaijan.

He said, any proposals of the kind should be discussed in the framework
of the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe and this is their
prerogative.
