TAXES OF 75 BILLION DRAMS COLLECTED IN FIRST QUARTER

YEREVAN, APRIL 28, NOYAN TAPAN. Taxes of 75 bln drams (about 241 mln
USD) were collected by employees of the RA State Tax Service (STS)
in the first quarter of 2008, which exceeds by 31% the index of the
same period of last year. The deputy head of the STS Robert Kocharian
told reporters on April 28 that social payments collection made 21.1
bln drams in the indicated period – against 18.7 bln drams in the
first quarter of 2007.
