AUTHOR GEORGE BOURNOUTIAN TO DELIVER LECTURE ON "TIGRAN THE GREAT" BOOK IN BELMONT

BELMONT, APRIL 29, ARMENIANS TODAY – NOYAN TAPAN. George Bournoutian
will give a lecture about his most recent work "Tigranes II and Rome"
on May 5. The book has been translated to English from the original
Armenian text by historian Hakob H. Manandyan. The book is regarded
as the first serious attempt to examine the 1st century B.C. Armenian
monarch, Tigran the Great, without appealing to patriotic sentiments
and with a grounding in Greek and Roman sources.
