New 10,000-worth banknote put in circulation in Armenia

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. As of May 8 a new 10,000-worth banknote (150 x
72mm) has been put in circulation in Armenia.

Armenian poet Avetik Isahakian is portrayed on the observe of the
banknote against the background of Aragats Mount by Martiros Sarian.
The upper part of the banknote contains words `Central Bank of the
Republic of Armenia’ in Armenian. Signatures of the President of the
Central Bank and the Finance Minister of Armenia are to the right from
the portrait.

A fragment of the city of Giumry is shown at the center of the reverse.

The 10,000-worth banknotes of 2003 and 2006 remain in free circulation
with no limitation. `0–
