Armenian Genocide

The Government of the United Kingdom finally condemned the desecration
of the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Cadiff committed on the Holocaust
Day.

In a reply to MP David Barrows, Minister Paul Murphy said, "I hope
that when the vandals are caught and prosecuted for this crime, this
will go some way to easing the pain and distress that has been caused
by this terrible act".

"It is a very significant development", said the spokesman of "Armenia
Solidarity " organization, "In the past the ministers of the government
tried to avoid using the term Armenian Genocide". Taking into account
the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Wales MPs of UK Government,
the Minister mentioned that it is impossible to avoid using that term
any more. "The fact of the Armenian Genocide is already adopted in
Wales and the vandalisms of the extremists may make other political
figures stand for the truth", he added, "Noyan Tapan~R agency reported.
