/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The main result of today’s
Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting in Saint Petersburg is that
the sides agreed to continue talks on the basis of
Madrid proposals, according to the OSCE MG Co-chair.

-The meeting was positive and constructive. The
Presidents informed us that they decided to continue
talks on the basis of proposals the Co-chairs
presented in Madrid,- Matthew Bryza said.

-We heard both sides. I can’t say that they completely
agree with us. The proposals need to be improved,- he
added.

The U.S. mediator also informed that the OSCE Minsk
Group Co-chairs are planning a regional visit next
month.

-As to the next presidential meeting, there is no
exact agreement. Everything depends on the outcomes of
Foreign Ministers’ talks,- Amb. Bryza said, RFE/RL
reports.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
