Armenian Conversebank Holds Drawing Among Its Depositors

ARMENIAN CONVERSEBANK HOLDS DRAWING AMONG ITS DEPOSITORS

YEREVAN, June 10. /ARKA/. Armenian Conversebank has held a drawing
among the holders of the "Zartonk" fixed-term deposit accounts. The
first prize in the drawing held June 6-7 was a tour to Prague for
two people, in addition to forty pieces of consumer electronics as
secondary prizes.

The campaign on "Zartonk" fixed-term deposits was held from March 24
to May 31, 2008. Deposits were made both in Armenian drams and in US
dollars. The minimum size of the deposited sum was 150,000 drams or
500 US dollars, the deposit term ranging from six to 12 months. The
campaign attracted 2bln drams from 600 depositors with 42.6% of them
described by the bank as first-time customers.

The Conversebank closed joint-stock company was registered on December
20, 1993. Armenian-Argentinean businessman Eduardo Eurnekyan acquired
ownership of the bank in February 2007.

According to the data of March 31, 2008, the bank’s assets totalled
56.2bln drams, with the total capital estimated at 11.6bln drams,
net profit in the first quarter 2008 at 682.4mln drams and for the
year of 2007 at 1.4bln drams. The balance sheet profit on the bank’s
account was 7.8bln drams, as the March 31 data suggest. ($1 -306.94
