ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES FOREIGN AMBASSADORS TO ARMENIA

Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan received the heads of the
diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Armenia 9-11 June.
Foreign Ministry Department for Information and Press told ArmInfo
during his meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Sweden to Armenia H.E Hans Gunnar Aden Minister Nalbandyan outlined
the serious potential for development of Armenian-Swedish cooperation
in the sphere of economy, high technologies, culture and education
and stressed the necessity of boosting the political dialogue. Edward
Nalbandyan met also Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the
Russian Federation to Armenia Nikolay Pavlov. The parties discussed
the official visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to Moscow expected in
late June at the invitation of RF President Dmitry Medvedev. During his
meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to
Armenia Serge Smessow, Edward Nalbandyan discussed the prospects of
development of the Armenian-French relations. The sides touched upon
Armenia-EU relations under the European neighborhood Policy in the
light of France’s EU chairmanship expected in the middle of 2008. Later
Minister Nalbadnyan met Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Ambassador
Sergey Kapinos and discussed with him issues connected with the
activity of OSCE Mission in Yerevan. For his part Ambassador Kapinos
informed Minister Nalbandyan of the programs implemented in Armenia.
Foreign Minister Nalbandyan received also Ambassadors Brazil, Romania,
India and Italy in Armenia.
