ARMENIAN POLICE NOT TO LET HOLDING OF UNSANCTIONED RALLY IN YEREVAN ON 20 JUNE

Armenian police is going not to let holding of the unsanctioned rally
in Yerevan on 20 June, the first deputy commander of the police Armen
Yeritsyan said at today’s press-conference.
He recalled that the mayor’s office gives permission on holding of
a rally and in this case the opposition rally is sanctioned and it
will be held at the square near Razdan stadium. Holding of the rally
at another place is illegal and the police will show the relevant
actions. He also said that the law-enforcement agencies have got
the operative information about tomorrow’s the mass disorders in the
centre of Yerevan. The police will severely reply to such actions. He
called citizens to be watchful. He also emphasized that the police
are ready to implement all the tasks. He said that no additional
forces were taken to the capital city, and the police have the needed
special means.
