/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The property of Armenians exiled from Azerbaijan
at the end of the 20th century totals $5 billion, according to an
Armenian official.

"International practice doesn’t offer a solution to this problem. There
is no system in the world which could oblige the perpetrator-state to
pay the damages," said Gagik Yeganyan, head of the migration division
at the Ministry of Territorial Administration.

"We helped 1100 refugees to draw up suits and address the European
Court of Human Rights. If the complaints are satisfied, 93 thousand
suits will be brought against the Azerbaijan," he said, Novosti
Armenia reports.

Some 500 thousand Armenians were deported from Azerbaijan over the
Nagorno Karabakh during the period from 1988 to 1991. 350 thousand
came to Armenia, the rest settled in CIS countries, Europe and the U.S.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
