NKR MINISTER WANTS TO SEE MORE DEMOCRATIC AZERBAIJAN

Nagornyy Karabakh republic (NKR) foreign minister Georgi Petrosyan
said today that "democracy is the natural choice of the Nagornyy
Karabakh people" while we "see its convulsive imitation in Azerbaijan."

Petrosyan made this statement while commenting on Parliamentary
Assembly of the Council of Europe Resolution 1614 on democratic
institutions in Azerbaijan. "In this context, we would advise the
Council of Europe to take the state of democracy in Azerbaijan more
seriously and take the democratic processes in the region with greater
responsibility. We are confident that only a democratic Azerbaijan
would be the neighbour the Nagornyy Karabakh republic can speak to
in the same languages," Petrosyan said.
