NA SPEAKER TIGRAN TOROSYAN’S CONGRATULATION ON CONSTITUTION DAY

Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Tigran Torosyan issued a
congratulatory message on the occasion of the Constitution Day. The
message states:

"Dear compatriots,

The Constitution of our country was essentially amended ten years
after it was adopted, receiving a high evaluation from renowned
professional structures as a document that ensures qualitatively new
opportunities for deepening of democracy, defense of human rights and
rule of law. Sure, there is still much to do from the perspective of
making maximal use of these opportunities, but the past three years
confirmed that the reforms have greatly contributed to the development
of structures having the mission to defend constitutional rights and
freedoms in public life, formation of the system of checks and balances
between government structures, thus ensuring greater protection of
our citizens.

I congratulate you on the Constitution Day and wish you success and
full implementation of constitutional guarantees, since the citizen
of the country is strong and therefore the state is powerful with
the knowledge of rights and responsibilities."
