ArmInfo. After short talks with the representatives of the Center of
the All-National Movement levon Zurabyan and David Shahnazaryan, the
police have lifted their cordon and let the oppositionists pass to the
square near Matenadaran, where they are planning to hold a rally.

The oppositionists welcomed the decision. As of 07:00 PM there were
7,000-10,0000 people near Matenadaran. The leader of the opposition,
the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrossyan has not arrived
yet.

Just like June 20, the police have prevented the oppositionists from
taking necessary equipment to the tribune. So, the rally may start with
a delay.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
