RUSSIAN ITERA INTENDS TO CONSTRUCT BUILDING MATERIALS PLANT IN ARMENIA

Itera, a Russian oil and gas company, intends to construct a plant
of building materials in Armenia, Igor Makarov, said at his meeting
with Armenian President Serge Sargsyan on Tuesday.
Presidential press office quoted Makarov as saying that Itera is
ready to make investments in that.
At the meeting, Sargsyan and Makarov discussed cooperation programs
and outlined further steps.
Itera holds 5.06% of stocks of Armenian-Russian ArmRosgasprom, the
monopolist in Russian gas import and distribution in Armenia.
Other shareholders are Gasprom (72%) and Armenian Ministry of Energy
and Natural Resources (22.78%). M.V.
