ARCHERS FROM ARMENIA TO TAKE PART IN SECOND ROUND OF EUROPE’S JUNIOR GRAND PRIX
ARMENPRESS
JULY 14
Archers from Armenia, as well as from Georgia, Austria, Belgium,
Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Ukraine, Turkey, Holland, Germany, France
and Russia will take part in the second round of Europe’s Junior
Grand Prix tournament in Georgia’s Batumi.
According to Artem Samishvili, secretary general of the Georgian
Archers Union, archers from Cyprus and Great Britain were also to
take part in the competition, but the Cyprus team refused because of
financial problems while the Britons refused because of ‘instability
in Georgia’s breakaway region of Abkhazia."
The competition which has attracted 150 junior archers, kicks off
today and will end in five days. The first stage had taken place
earlier in Spain.
