SERZH SARGSYAN CONFIRMS CONTACTS BETWEEN ARMENIAN AND TURKISH DIPLOMATS

Yerevan -APA. Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan confirmed information
about the contacts between Armenian and Turkish diplomats.

Sargsyan said this fact was not unusual and such contacts were always
carried out. Sargsyan said if Turkish president Abdullah Gul accepted
his invitation to watch World Cup qualifying match between national
teams of the two countries in Yerevan, it would give impetus to
establishing mutual relations. Speaking about the possibility of
protest actions against Gul’s visit in Armenia, Sargsyan said such
forces existed in both countries. "It doesn’t mean that we should
do nothing for solution of existed problems". Armenian president
believes that supporters of normalization of the relations are more
than its protesters.
