"PREVENTION OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS IN THE SOUTH CAUCASUS" PROGRAM TO PROMOTE IMPROVEMENT OF PROTECTION FROM NATURAL DISASTERS

On July 25 in Yerevan German Technical Cooperation Company will present
"Prevention of Emergency Situations in the South Caucasus" program.
An official from the rescue service of the Armenian Emergency Ministry
told Armenpress that the program will promote the improvement of
skills of vulnerable communities to protect themselves from negative
influence of the natural disasters. It supports the analyses of risks,
monitoring and forecasting.
The program will result in the decrease of emergency risks in the
mentioned territories as well as will strengthen the abilities of
system of prevention of the emergency situations and promote the
communication between the state and civil societies. The target
group of the program is the population of Armenia’s Lori and Tavush
provinces as well as population of 10 communities of Azerbaijan’s
Sheki-Zakatala provinces.
The program will last for five years.
