HAYASTAN ALL-ARMENIAN FUND’S FIVE PROJECTS IN HADRUT REGION IN COMPLETION STAGE

STEPANAKERT, JULY 30, ARMENIANS TODAY – NOYAN TAPAN. At present, five
projects of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund are nearing to completion
in Hadrut region, NKR.
Some of the projects have been implemented within Artsakh Revival
large-scale project, which covers development of Hadrut region by
its second stage. The projects are being carried out through Telethon
2006 funds.
Construction of Togh-Hadrut gas pipeline, restoration of drinking
water supply system for Hadrut town and reconstruction of Togh village
school are among those projects. The first two projects have been
mainly sponsored by the French local committee of the Fund, the last
one by the US West Coast affiliate.
Very soon, the construction of 20 km long Togh-Hadrut gas pipeline
will be completed providing round-the-clock gas supply for Hadrut
town and neighboring 7 communities (round 5200 residents).
Another infrastructure development project, restoration of drinking
water supply system of Hadrut town, is already completed. It includes
a construction of 20 km long pipeline and reconstruction of pits,
which also provide the town with water.
Within the healthcare projects the Hadrut regional hospital has
been reconstructed. The project is sponsored by the USA West Coast
affiliate of the Fund. In a month the comfortable hospital with new
operating-room, X-ray cabinet and separate isolation ward will open
its doors. The hospital will serve 40 patients. The Fund has also
purchased furniture and an ambulance for the hospital.
Reconstruction of Aknaghbyur village school sponsored by the Hayastan
Fund’s French local committee is also finished.
According to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s Acting Executive Director
Ara Vardanyan, the people in Hadrut region will have number of deep
socio-economic problems solved by September when celebrating the 17th
anniversary of the Independence of Artsakh.
